Many teeth whitening systems and products are available โ€” whitening toothpastes, over-the-counter gels, rinses, strips, trays, and professional treatments we can offer you. Making the right choice depends on your goals and starting shade.

In-office whitening

In-office bleaching provides the quickest way to whiten teeth. The whitening product is applied directly to your teeth, sometimes in combination with a special light or laser. Results are seen in a single 30- to 60-minute treatment, though additional appointments may be needed for dramatic results.

For our existing patients, our laser bleaching treatment also includes custom-made take-home trays and gel to maintain your new white smile.

Take-home whitening

Custom-fitted bleaching trays made in our office allow you to whiten at home on your own schedule. The trays provide a more precise fit than over-the-counter alternatives, so the whitening gel stays where it needs to be for consistent results.

Is whitening right for you?

Teeth whitening is ideal for people who have healthy, unrestored teeth and gums. It is not recommended for everyone โ€” for example, it does not change the color of dental restorations such as crowns, veneers, or fillings. Dr. Patel will discuss with you the benefits and the best option available for your smile. Schedule a consultation to find out.

Frequently asked questions

Who is a good candidate for teeth whitening?

Teeth whitening is ideal for people with healthy, unrestored teeth (no large fillings) and healthy gums. Individuals with yellow tones tend to respond best. Whitening is not recommended for everyone โ€” Dr. Patel will discuss whether it is appropriate for you at your consultation.

How white can my teeth get with in-office whitening?

In-office bleaching can produce dramatic results โ€” often several shades lighter โ€” after just one 30- to 60-minute treatment. Additional sessions may be needed for optimal results.

Do whitening results last?

Whitening results can last months to years with good oral hygiene and occasional touch-ups. For existing patients who receive in-office laser bleaching, Dr. Patel provides custom take-home trays and gel to maintain your new white smile.
